Guidelines

1

In order to promote DC Tools and training short film competition, selected works from Submissions may be screened/streamed at events or via websites managed by the DC Tools and training Short films wing or other third party sponsors involved.

All the submitted work is should have English subtitles overplayed

3.

Submission Refunds will not be issued under any circumstances.

4.

Selection process and selected works displayed in the website and Facebook page.

5.

Submitted works will be evaluated on the below criteria: Cinematic / Storytelling / Emotional Appeal / Idea / Originality

Formats: All Submissions must be in MP4 video format file. (Please note, however, that submissions must be sent on the secured link. If selected, filmmakers are required to provide a high res-Apple ProRes File and MP4 file in pen-drive by hand).

To avoid conflict please ensure that the individual rights relating to writers, performers, musicians etc. have all been cleared in advance before submitting. DC Tools and training Short films wing is not responsible for permissions, payments of the crew and locations.

8.

DC Tools and training Short Film Festival offers INR100,000 in cheque and in-kind sponsor prizes to filmmakers with winners selected by industry professionals – including studio representatives, producers, and fellow filmmakers.

9.

You may submit multiple entries but must fill out a separate entry form and pay an entry fee for each.

10.

Every possible care will be taken with entries while in our possession, however, we cannot accept responsibility for loss, damage or additional charges incurred en route, or due to normal wear and tear, or due to equipment failure.

11.

Additionally, DC Tools and training Short Film Festival is held harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity or screening of any film.

12.

All entries submitted to the DC Tools and training Short Film Festival must be original works by the applicant. By submitting to this competition, you are attesting that this work is yours and that you have the authority to submit this work to the DC Tools and training Short Film Festival and agree to all of the rules of the competition and the festival as a whole.

It is the heart of Film making, a process of taking ideas, actions, emotional subtext, tone and all another form of nonverbal communication converting them into Visuals, simply in to moving images.
